How GCI Started

The Gethmann name has been synonymous with the construction industry since 1892 with the formation of the Gethmann Brick Company. Operations were based upon "Old World" standards of integrity and craftsmanship. From these early beginnings evolved the Gethmann Construction Company which was founded in 1934 by Kenneth W. Gethmann. Gethmann Construction, Inc. (GCI) was incorporated in 1937.
